Our operation is based on the following values:

Customer-oriented service

Strong, in-house design, manufacturing, and development
Needs-oriented product development where we listen to our client

In 1928, Janne Marttiini established the Marttiini knife factory in Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland. With the mechanization of the forest industry the company expanded its operation by opening an engineering workshop (1967). As the operation grew and developed further, the knife production activities were acquired by Rapala VMC in 2005, while Marttiini Metal Oy remained under the control of the Marttiini family.

We have always manufactured our products listening to our clients, and this has allowed us to develop well-functioning solutions for forestry and earth moving contractors. To us, common sense means durability, agility, and understanding the demanding northern conditions.

In 2019, a generational change was carried out at Marttiini Metal Oy as the younger generation took on the responsibility for the company's future and its development into a world-class enterprise.

“We have a long history with plenty of good lessons. Now, we are taking a new step in the development of our products and our operation, as well as internationalization. We want to be a genuinely good and reliable partner, now and in the future”
